About WebCT

If you have never used WebCT, you are in for a big treat! WebCT is a program that allows teachers to deliver courses to students online. Before you get scared and think "but I am not a computer person", please be assured that I will do everything in my power to make this a user-friendly and positive experience for you. My intent is only to improve upon the experience that you have here as a student at CSUS - my alma mater.

What can WebCT offer me?

Here are a few of the things you can look forward to with WebCT:

• Immediate access to syllabus, schedule, and other important information.
• Up to date announcements concerning your class
• Discussion Boards and Chat rooms to share information with other students
• Mail
• Student presentations
• and More

How do I access WebCT?

You will need to create a SacLink account to access WebCT. Visit the SacLink site or if you prefer, go to the SacLink Help Desk located in Sequoia Hall, Room 322. For information on Help Desk hours, select this button:

When you obtain a SacLink account, you receive a user ID (e.g., "sac12345") and a password (e.g., "1goodstudent") from SacLink, be sure to remember this information. You cannot access my course online without your ID and password.

You are now ready to login to WebCT! Go to the WebCT site that looks like this and login by clicking the login button.

This will take you to the screen where you type in your user ID and password -

Now you are at my WebCT home page and can select the class you are in by clicking on the course name.
